Edgardo Maya Araújo
Edgardo Maya Araújo is a Colombian lawyer from Universidad Externado de Colombia. He holds a major in administrative law from the same university.
He practices in the areas of infrastructure projects, due diligence, business law, administrative law and litigations. His experience comprehends litigations before ordinary courts and arbitral tribunals. He was the coordinator of the legal team that represented the Patrimonio Autónomo de Remanentes de Telecom – PAR on arbitration tribunals with Plescom, Edatel and Teledifusión. Currently he is responsible for the Firm’s practices in dispute resolution and administrative law.
Also, in the projects practice, Edgardo participated in the legal advice provided to Rio Seco in the execution of a contract for the construction of the penitentiary of high and medium security in Guaduas – Cundinamarca and in the legal advice provided to the Development Bank of Latin America – CAF for the PPP structuring of nationwide prison facilities. He is currently part of the legal team structuring a PPP for scheme for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a group of public hospitals in the city of Bogotá, and was a part of the legal team in the advisory for the settlement and reversion of the concession contract of the potable water treatment plant Tibitoc and for the design of the transition scheme for the Plant.
Currently, Edgardo is involved in the advisory to Colombian Geological Service (SGC) on legal aspects of scientific projects and public procurement, including the Centre of Excellence in Earth Sciences.
Edgardo is member of Durán & Osorio Abogados since 2006.
