Edgardo Maya Araújo

Senior Associate

Edgardo is involved in the projects, public law and dispute resolution practices of the Firm. His experience comprehends litigations before ordinary courts and arbitral tribunals. He was the coordinator of the legal team that represented the Patrimonio Autónomo de Remanentes de Telecom – PAR on arbitration tribunals with Plescom, Edatel, Swedtel and Teledifusión. Currently, he is responsible for the Firm’s practices in dispute resolution and public law.

Also, in the projects practice, Edgardo was involved in the legal advice provided to Rio Seco in the execution of a contract for the construction of an incarceration facility in Guaduas, and in the legal advice provided to the Development Bank of Latin America – CAF for the PPP structuring of prison facilities. Moreover, he was part of the legal team that structured a PPP scheme for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a group of public hospitals in Bogotá, and participated in the legal team that assisted Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá during the liquidation of the Tibitoc Plant concession contract.

Presently, Edgardo is involved in the advisory to Colombian Geological Service (SGC) related to legal aspects of scientific projects and public procurement, including the Centre of Excellence in Earth Sciences.

Edgardo is a member of D&O since 2006.
