Social Infrastructure

Durán & Osorio is a pioneer in developing social infrastructure that can readily acccomodate private participation.

Since the expedition of Law 1508, in 2012, the firm has developed specific schemes that allow for the financing of non- productive infrastructure through PPP projects.

The interdisciplinary approach taken with this type of transaction class is proof of the client facing pragmatism that characterises the Firm, along with its commitment to understanding the specificities and varying needs that non-productive infrastructure projects involve. This type of infrastructure includes, but it is not limited to, schools, prisons, housing, public offices, museums, and libraries. Even though all of these various types of projects entail providing important services to the community, they differ substantially in their procedural designs.

Recently, Durán & Osorio leaded the structuring of the first social PPP contract in Colombia. Bosa Hospital will benefit over 400.000 people of the localities of Bosa, Kennedy, Fontibon and Puente Aranda.
