Jorge Gabriel Taboada

Gabriel has an extensive experience in the public sector, including: Head of the banks and financial institutions unit at Superintendencia de Valores; General Director of Economic Regulation at Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público; General Manager at Instituto Nacional de Vivienda de Interés y Reforma Urbana – INURBE; and Superintendent at the Superintendencia de Valores.

Gabriel is member of Durán & Osorio Abogados Asociados since 2002, and currently is senior partner of the firm.

He has an outstanding background in public law and structuring PPP projects. Gabriel served as the legal director of the legal team that structured five road concessions for the National Infrastructure Agency for the so-called 4G road concessions project (“Autopistas de la Prosperidad”). He was also the legal director for the structuring of an upgrade of Tibitoc’s treatment plant; the structuring of a PPP project for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a load terminal in EL Dorado International Airport and for the Ferrocarril del Carare; and the structuring of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a railroad trail to connect the Department of Boyacá with the Magdalena Medio region in Colombia.
